In January, March convenors Rev. Al Sharpton, Founder & President of the National Action Network, Martin Luther King, III, Board Chairman of the Drum Major Institute, and Arndrea Waters King, Chairman, and President of Drum Major Institute, announced the 60th Anniversary of the March on Washington at the NAN MLK Day Breakfast in Washington, D.C.

In May, the Washington Post wrote the first piece on the March. This was the first time the date of the March was publicly announced. We are committed to the focus of making an impact through the continuation of the 60th Anniversary of the March on Washington. This March, because it is one tool of many, we are collectively using an opportunity to recenter and engage the movement following a disastrous term after Supreme Court decisions and the continued erosion of our rights by legislators and courts across the country. This collaborative effort centers on communities, their voices, and young people.

Join us from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., on August 26th.
