As we move toward August 28, 2026, March convenors Rev. Al Sharpton, Founder and President of the National Action Network, Martin Luther King III, Board Chairman of the Drum Major Institute, and Arndrea Waters King, Chairman and President of the Drum Major Institute, continue the call for the 63rd Anniversary of the March on Washington.
Sixty three years after the original March on Washington, we are not gathering only to remember history. We are marching because the fight for justice is still in front of us. Across the country, voting rights, civil rights, diversity, equity, inclusion, and equal protection under the law continue to face attacks. Communities are still being challenged by court decisions, legislation, and policies that threaten the progress generations fought to secure.
This March is one tool of many. It is a collective opportunity to recenter the movement, engage young people, and lift up the voices of communities most impacted in this moment. We march because the dream is not behind us. The dream is still a demand.
Join us in Washington, D.C., on August 28, 2026, for the 63rd Anniversary of the March on Washington.
